Shraddha Kapoor’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu and Stree avoid clash

Actress Shraddha Kapoor’s two forthcoming films, Batti Gul Meter Chalu and Stree, which were scheduled to hit the marquee on the same date, will not collide at the box-office anymore.

Earlier, both films were gearing up to battle it out at the ticket window on 31st August. However, according to sources, only Stree will release on 31st August while the makers of Batti Gul Meter Chalu are planning to shift their film to September.

A source reveals to an Indian daily, “It doesn’t make sense to have two films of an actor coming on the same day. So, while Stree will release on August 31, BGMC will come in September, the final release date will be locked by the producers in a few days.”

Stree, which stars Shraddha Kapoor opposite Rajkummar Rao, will now lock horns with veteran actor Rishi Kapoor’s Rajma Chawal on the same day.

Besides Stree and Batti Gul Meter Chalu, Shraddha will also be seen in Prabhas’s Saaho. She is also doing a biopic on ace badminton player, Saina Nehwal. The biopic is titled Saina.
