Shah Rukh Khan to star in Rajkumar Hirani’s next?

Shah Rukh Khan was last seen on the big screen in Aanand L Rai’s Zero which released last year. The film was a flop at the box office and SRK fans were left disappointed with the movie. Now the actor’s fans have been waiting to know which will be his next movie. According to a report in a tabloid, Shah Rukh Khan is all set to collaborate with director Rajkumar Hirani.

A source told the tabloid, "People have been waiting for Shah Rukh to announce his next project after Zero. Shah Rukh and Hirani have been meeting since a few months to discuss this. It's almost finalised. Hirani will float his own banner and will not [work] with Vidhu Vinod Chopra, as has been the norm. It's a romantic drama with a strong emotional cord running through; it's right up SRK's alley."

After Zero, SRK was supposed to star in Saare Jahan Se Achcha, a biopic on astronaut Rakesh Sharma. However, the actor opted out of the film. A few days ago, while talking about his next film, Shah Rukh Khan in an interview had said, "No, at this point, I've not decided anything. I think I will take a decision for the next film that I am going to do by June. I am just listening to films and I want to spend some time just listening and working on them. So by June, I should take a call what film I want to do."

Well, it’s June now, so we won’t be surprised if SRK announces his next soon.

Coming to Rajkumar Hirani, the filmmaker’s last release was Sanju which was one of the biggest hits of the year 2018. However, he has been in the news for sexual harassment allegations against. While the filmmaker and his lawyer have denied all the allegations, we wonder if Shah Rukh Khan will receive criticism for working with a man who has sexual harassment allegations against him.

Meanwhile, Don 3 has also been in the news for quite some time. Reportedly, Ranveer Singh was going to replace Shah Rukh Khan in the franchise, but the makers denied the reports.
