Sayani Gupta set to don producer's hat

Talented actress Sayani Gupta, who is known for her impressive work in Hindi movies and the digital space, is set to add a new feather to her cap. She is branching out to production with an upcoming Hindi film.

The actress, who has proved her mettle by portraying powerful roles in such successful projects as Toilet: Ek Prem Katha (2017), Article 15 (2019) and Four More Shots Please! (2019), is venturing into production with a film titled Where the Wind Blows.

Spilling some more beans on the forthcoming movie, a source in the know informs an entertainment portal that Gupta will be co-producing and starring in Where the Wind Blows. “The interesting fact about the film is that the entire film is shot in the Himalayas. The cast and crew climbed till the base camp of Mount Everest. The average temperature there was around minus 27 degree Celsius. Sayani along with the crew of only seven people climbed and completed the shoot in 26 days," informs the source.

Confirming the development, Sayani Gupta also said that the film is very close to her heart. “This film is very close to my heart. Shooting for it was not lesser than a roller coaster ride. Though the shoot was difficult, the experience was one of the most memorable ones. I had the best time shooting with Karma and the team," she said in conclusion. More details on the project will be out soon.

Last seen in Inside Edge 2, Gupta is currently awaiting the premiere of the Season 2 of her successful web series Four More Shots Please! The series will stream on Amazon Prime Video upon its premiere.
