Sana Saeed on missing father’s funeral amid Coronavirus outbreak

As the Coronavirus continues to spread like wildfire, several countries across the world have been put under complete lockdowns. Though the authorities have imposed the lockdown to slow the spread of the deadly virus and flatten the curve of its transmission, we cannot deny the fact that it has started impacting people in a much bigger way.

Recently, Sana Saeed lost her father when she was in Los Angeles. While every one would want to be with their families in such a tragic situation, the actress could not fly back to India due to the curfew.

“My dad was a diabetes patient, and this led to multiple organ failure. It was around 7 am in LA when I got the news and I wanted to rush back home and hug my mother and sisters. The circumstances under which I lost my father were very unfair. But I know in my heart that he was really suffering and he is definitely in a better place now,” the actress informs a publication.

She goes on to say, “My family had decided to do the funeral on the same day and we had only three hours in hand. On their way, they were stopped by the cops to check, but after seeing the death certificate, they allowed them to go. Though I wasn’t there physically, my sister kept texting me every time during the ceremony.”

Sana Saeed is best remembered for her performance as a child artist in Karan Johar’s all-time blockbuster film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998). She played the character of Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Anjali Khanna.

Charli Xcx is giving thousands of fans a chance to hear her new album before anyone else

Highlights

  • Charli Xcx will host advance listening events for Music, Fashion, Film in 25 cities between July 9 and July 11.
  • Fans will hear the album in independent cinemas nearly two weeks before its official July 24 release.
  • The global rollout comes ahead of her North American arena tour beginning in September.

For years, album launches have followed a familiar pattern: a midnight streaming release, social media promotion and fans listening wherever they happen to be. Charli Xcx is taking a different route with Music, Fashion, Film.

Instead of asking listeners to press play alone, the singer is inviting them into independent cinemas across 25 cities for advance listening events, transforming the release into a shared experience before the album officially arrives on July 24. It's a rollout that puts fans at the centre of the launch rather than waiting for streaming platforms to do the work.
