Salman Khan launches Zaheer Iqbal

After Zareen Khan, Sonakshi Sinha, Daisy Shah and Sooraj Pancholi, to name just a few, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is set to launch debutant, Zaheer Iqbal. Zaheer is the son of one of Khan’s acquaintances.

Talking about the newcomer, Salman says, Zaheer is a born star. “Zaheer is made for the movies. He is a fantastic actor and a born star.”


The untitled film will be directed by Filmistaan (2013) fame, Nitin Kakkar. Set against the backdrop of Kashmir, the movie focuses on the love story of a young couple. While Zaheer has been confirmed to play the male lead, the makers are now looking at casting the female lead as soon as possible.

Sharing some details, well-known film critic, Taran Adarsh, took to his Twitter handle and wrote, “Salman Khan launches Zaheer Iqbal... The film is not titled yet... A love story set in Kashmir... Produced by Salman Khan Films, Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde... Directed by Nitin Kakkar... Shoot begins Sept 2018".

The film will be a joint venture among Salman Khan, Murad Khetani, and Ashwin Varde.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan is also set to launch his brother-in-law, Aayush Sharma, with his banner’s forthcoming film, Loveratri, also starring debutante, Warina Hussain. Loveratri releases on 5th October, 2018.

The theatre was packed for the Third Shanghai–London Screen Industry Forum. Between panels and workshops, filmmakers, producers and executives discussed ideas and business cards and it felt more than just a summit. British-Asian filmmakers were meeting and greeting the Chinese industry in an attempt to explore genuine possibilities of working in China’s film market.
