'Akshay kumar, Ajay and Suniel original action stars'

Director Rohit Shetty says Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn and Suniel Shetty are Bollywood's original action heroes.

"Ajay, Akshay and Suniel are the original 'Khatron Ke Khiladi' of Bollywood. They have done action when there was no cable wire, special effects or computer graphics. I have seen them doing stunts on their own," Rohit told reporters when asked about real action heroes of the Hindi film industry.

Rohit will be back as the host of action reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi season eight.

The Dilwale helmer says he is happy to be back on the show after a gap.

He hosted the fifth and sixth season of Khatron Ke Khiladi, while Arjun Kapoor played the host for the last season.

"I couldn't do the last season as technically it was not possible. I was in the middle of releasing Dilwale in December and the show was happening in November. So I couldn't do it," he said.

When asked if the contestants will get to do task related to Spain's popular bull fight game, Rohit said, "I am not saying anything. There is a surprise."

The show will start airing on Colors channel this monsoon and will be shot in Spain.

Raj Nayak, COO, Viacom18, who is one of the producers of the show, said they decided to shoot the show abroad due to safety issues.

The season 8 will see 12 contestants - wrestler Geeta Phogat, Bigg Boss fame Manveer Gurjar, actors Monica Dogra, Nia Sharma, Hina Khan, Shiny Doshi, Ravi Dubey, Karan Wahi, Rithvik Dhanjani, VJ Shibani Dandekar, model Lopamudra Raut and dancer Shantanu Maheshwari.
