On 30th April 2020, we all got the sad news that veteran actor Rishi Kapoor has passed away. The actor was diagnosed with cancer in 2018 and after a year of treatment in the US, he came back to India in September last year.
Recently, while talking to a daily, Rishi Kapoor’s brother Randhir Kapoor revealed that how the family is coping up after the veteran actor’s demise. He said, “God has been kind and the family is holding up well. We are taking one day at a time but we all miss him every day. We shared a common bond over friends, family, food, and films.”
“People across the world showered their love on him. We have been flooded with condolence messages and some have even shared their memories or their personal experiences with my brother. It is impossible to reply to all of them but I’d like to thank everyone and just want to tell his fans to remember him for his movies, for his smile and undying spirit,” he added.
Before the lockdown was announced, Rishi Kapoor was shooting for his movie Sharmaji Namkeen in Delhi. It is said that a few days of the shoot is still left, but the makers will complete it by using the CGI. Well, it will be Rishi Kapoor’s last appearance on the big screen. The veteran actor was also going to star alongside Deepika Padukone in the Hindi remake of The Intern but unfortunately, we won’t get to see him in that film.
Recently, Neetu Kapoor had posted a family picture remembering Rishi Kapoor. She had captioned the picture as, “How I wish this picture could remain complete as is ❤️”
