Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Sanon team up for a comedy film

Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Sanon were earlier seen together in 2017 release Bareilly Ki Barfi. The film was a hit at the box office and Rajkummar and Kriti’s pairing was liked by the audience. Now, the two are all set to work together for the second time in an untitled comedy film which will be produced by Dinesh Vijan.

Maddock Films took to Instagram to announce the film. They posted, #DineshVijan is ready to tickle your funny bones in our next! The shoot for this laughter riot begins next month, in Delhi. @rajkummar_rao @kritisanon #DimpleKapadia #PareshRawal @cinemanabhishek.”

The movie also stars Dimple Kapadia and Paresh Rawal and will revolve around a young couple who decides to adopt parents. Yes, we have seen many films where parents adopt kids, but this will be for the first time when in a movie we will get to see that the kids are adopting parents. Well, the concept of the film already sounds very interesting.

While talking to a tabloid, Dinesh Vijan revealed that he was planning a film with Rajkummar and Kriti, but it didn’t materialise and then he narrated them this concept. He said, “That project wasn’t working out, so, one day, over a cup of coffee, I sketched out this idea to them and they jumped at it. Raj and Kriti came on board even before the script was written.”

The movie will be directed by Abhishek Jain who has earlier helmed Gujarati films like Kevi Rite Jaish and Bey Yaar. Talking about roping in Jain, Vijan said, “It’s always been our policy to back new directors, be it Amar Kaushik who gave us Stree and Bala, Laxman Utekar who came good with Luka Chuppi and is currently directing Mimi, and Hardik Mehta who will keep you engaged in Roohi Afzana. With Abhishek at the helm, we are looking forward to a roller-coaster ride that children and parents can watch together.”

NHS ranks among worst for treatable deaths despite £242 billion spending

  • UK ranks among worst for treatable mortality, ahead of only US in global analysis.
  • NHS spending has reached £242 billion, but infrastructure gaps persist.
  • Shortage of scanners, beds and delays in care continue to affect outcomes.

The NHS is facing renewed scrutiny after a major international analysis suggested that UK patient survival rates remain among the weakest in developed healthcare systems, despite record levels of spending.

The report, led by the Institute for Public Policy Research, found that the UK ranks near the bottom among 22 countries for treatable mortality, a measure of deaths that could potentially be avoided with timely and effective care. Only the US performed worse.
