PV Sindhu wants Deepika Padukone to headline her biopic

PV Sindhu is a force to reckon with in Indian sports. She is one of the finest badminton players that the country has ever produced. The sportswoman is presently basking in the historic success in recent tournaments, especially at the Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Championships last month where she emerged as the first Indian woman to win the tournament.

Of late, we have seen a deluge of biopics based on the inspirational lives of sports personalities. As soon as PV Sindhu lifted the trophy at the Badminton World Federation (BWF) World Championships, rumours started doing the rounds in Bollywood that a biopic on her life is also on the anvil. When asked about who she would like to see play her in her biopic, PV Sindhu expressed her desire for Deepika Padukone to play her on celluloid.

In an interview with a leading publication, PV Sindhu said, “(I) would definitely want Deepika Padukone to play the character. She had played the game and is a good actor too. But then, the makers would take the final decision.”

The biopic is being planned by actor-producer Sonu Sood. Even he wants to have Deepika Padukone to play PV Sindhu in her biopic. “I would love to see Deepika playing the character of Sindhu in my film. She is a fine actress. We are still in the scripting stage. If the part is offered to her and she likes the script and director and has the time for it, she will surely give her nod,” he had said earlier.

Well, it will be really interesting to see who finally bags the lead role in the biopic. Things are at a very initial stage and it will take a lot of time before the makers hit the shooting floor with the biopic.

  • Stand-up made her stop being scared of talking to people.
  • People laugh together at the same everyday problems.

Prashasti Singh started her stand-up terrified of speaking in public. “I was very conscious of my language, my pronunciation, my accent. I thought stand-up wouldn’t be my thing,” she says. But her first open mic changed that. “It felt like I was among a bunch of sisters, a bunch of friends. I just forgot all my nervousness. It came out very naturally.”
