Priya Varrier in talks to star in Simmba

The 18-year-old internet sensation Priya Varrier is reportedly in talks with filmmaker Karan Johar to star in his upcoming venture Simmba, which he is co-producing with popular Hindi filmmaker Rohit Shetty. If Johar finalizes the newcomer for the film, it will mark her debut in Bollywood.

In her recent interviews, Varrier has very openly expressed that she is a huge fan of Bajirao Mastani actor, Ranveer Singh, and if she ever gets an opportunity to work with him in a movie, she will never let it go. Looks like her coveted dream is set to become reality very soon as Simmba features Ranveer Singh in the lead role.

“The girl's role is not so big in the film. But Priya has become an overnight craze with the wink of an eye. Bollywood is interested in her. And who better equipped to consolidate Priya's supremacy in the virtual world in the arena of cinema than Karan Johar?" a source says.

To be helmed by Rohit Shetty, Simmba is expected to go to the sets in the second quarter of 2018. It is poised for its theatrical bow on 28th December 2018.

AI podcasts flood the internet threatening independent creators and reshaping a $39 billion audio industry

Highlights:

  • AI can make thousands of podcast episodes every week with very few people.
  • Making an AI podcast episode costs almost nothing and can make money fast.
  • Small podcasters cannot get noticed. It is hard for them to earn.
  • Advertisements go to AI shows. Human shows get ignored.
  • Listeners do not mind AI. Some like it.

A company can now publish thousands of podcasts a week with almost no people. That fact alone should wake up anyone who makes money from talking into a mic.

The company now turns out roughly 3,000 episodes a week with a team of eight. Each episode costs about £0.75 (₹88.64) to make. With as few as 20 listens, an episode can cover its cost. That single line explains why the rest of this story is happening.
