Poster of Vicky Kaushal and Nora Fatehi’s single Pachtaoge unveiled

A few weeks ago, it was revealed that Nora Fatehi and Vicky Kaushal have teamed up for a romantic single which will be released by T-Series. The makers have now unveiled the first look poster of the single and they have revealed that the song is titled as Pachtaoge.

T-Series took to Instagram to share the first look poster. They posted, “A story of love, heartbreak, and betrayal. Presenting the official poster of #Pachtaoge @Vickykaushal09 @norafatehi @arijitsingh @bpraak @arvindrkhaira @jaani777 @tseries.official @bhushankumar.”

Well, it looks like an intense romantic number and Vicky and Nora are looking quite good together. The track is composed by B Praak and sung by Arijit Singh. The single is directed by Arvindr Khaira.

While talking about the track, Khaira said, “It was lovely shooting this with Vicky and Nora, they’re both great performers. We wanted the look and feel of the video to reflect the emotions in the song. Shimla’s cobbled streets and architecture seemed like the ideal backdrop to set our story against.”

T-Series, head honcho, Bhushan Kumar is all praises for Vicky and Nora. He said, “It’s been a while that we saw a music video which is so passionate and packs in so much intensity. Vicky and Nora have done a wonderful job.”

Talking about the single, Nora Fatehi, who is busy garnering praises for her performance in Batla House, said, “This year the audience gets to slowly see my acting abilities with projects such as Batla House and the forthcoming Street Dancer 3D! I’ve been waiting for such opportunities to come my way as I’ve always wanted to be an actress. Now, with a project like Pachtaoge, I got to purely showcase my acting skills to another level. I would like to thank T-Series and Bhushan Kumar sir for letting me be a part of this performance-based music video. I am also excited to work with Vicky Kaushal, who is such a celebrated actor. Pachtaoge is surely a step forward in my career and hopefully will be a pleasant surprise for the audience.”

Vicky Kaushal, who recently won a National Award for his performance in Uri: The Surgical Strike, said, “This is the first time I have shot for a single and who better than T- Series and Bhushan Kumar to collaborate with. It was a memorable experience shooting with Nora in Shimla. She's a person who radiates positivity.  We had a lot of fun shooting with her. When I heard the song for the first time, I heard it ten times in one go! I've been following B Praak and Jaani's work for long and I was happy to work with them. It’s an honour to be associated with the music label.”

Pachtaoge will be released on 23rd August 2019.

'My Brilliant Career' review: Netflix makes a 125-year-old feminist story feel dangerously modern

Highlights

  • Netflix’s six-part series adapts Miles Franklin’s 1901 feminist novel
  • Phillipa Northeast stars as Sybylla Melvyn, a young writer determined to avoid the life chosen for her
  • The adaptation combines period drama with modern music, frank sexuality and stories of racism and social inequality

An erotic poem, a scandalised grandmother and a young woman with little interest in marriage make for an unexpectedly lively opening to My Brilliant Career. Netflix’s six-part adaptation of Miles Franklin’s 1901 novel wastes little time establishing that this will not be a restrained period drama.

Adapted by Liz Doran, the series follows Sybylla Melvyn, a fiercely independent young woman who dreams of becoming a writer. It follows Gillian Armstrong’s acclaimed 1979 film starring Judy Davis and Sam Neill, but brings a distinctly contemporary energy to Franklin’s story.
