Pooja Bhatt to write a book on her battle with alcohol addiction

Actress-turned-filmmaker Pooja Bhatt has always been open about her personal life. She has never shied away from talking about her strength, fears and vulnerabilities. Now, we hear, the actress is going to share the tales of her battle with alcohol addiction in a book which she is currently writing. It will be published by Penguin Random House India.

“The book, which has still not been titled, will widely speak about her journey through drinking and alcoholism. While Pooja and her father (Mahesh Bhatt) have never been to rehab to quit alcohol, they’ve frequently been spotted at Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, trying to talk to people on how to kick the bottle," reveals a source.

Pooja Bhatt is surely not the only woman from the glitzy world of showbiz who has been alcoholic, but not everyone has the guts to talk openly about such issues like she has. More power to her!

Talking about Pooja's professional life at the moment, she is working on the sequel to her 1991 film Sadak which might feature her stepsister, Alia Bhatt, in the lead role. She, along with the original actor Sanjay Dutt, is also part of the project.
