PM Narendra Modi thanks Bollywood stars for raising awareness and contributing to PM-CARES Fund

A couple of days ago, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the PM-CARES Fund and a lot of Bollywood celebs like Akshay Kumar, Varun Dhawan, Bhushan Kumar, Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Priyanka Chopra, and others have donated an amount for the same.

Today, PM Modi, took to Twitter to thank all the Indian stars for rasising awareness and contributing to the PM-CARES Fund. The Prime Minister tweeted, “India’s stars are playing a starring role even in ensuring the health of the nation. They’re playing a leading role in raising awareness as well as in contributing to PM-CARES. Thanks @nanagpatekar , @AjayDevgnFilms , @TheAaryanKartik and @TheShilpaShetty .”


In his another tweet, he thanked singers like Guru Randhawa and Badshah. PM Modi tweeted, “People from all walks of life have contributed to PM-CARES. They have given their hard-earned money to sharpen the fight against COVID-19. I thank @Its_Badshah , @RanvirShorey and @GuruOfficial for contributing to PM-CARES. This will encourage research on defeating Coronavirus.”

Well, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has addressed the citizens of India twice. While addressing the second time, he announced the lockdown till 14th April 2020.

Talking about the PM-CARES Fund, Akshay Kumar has donated Rs 25 crore for it. He was the first Bollywood celeb to tweet about the donation and later other celebs followed him. Akshay had tweeted, "This is that time when all that matters is the lives of our people. And we need to do anything and everything it takes. I pledge to contribute Rs 25 crores from my savings to @narendramodi ji’s PM-CARES Fund. Let’s save lives, Jaan hai toh jahaan hai.”

The theatre was packed for the Third Shanghai–London Screen Industry Forum. Between panels and workshops, filmmakers, producers and executives discussed ideas and business cards and it felt more than just a summit. British-Asian filmmakers were meeting and greeting the Chinese industry in an attempt to explore genuine possibilities of working in China’s film market.
