PM Narendra Modi is all praises for the team of Coolie No. 1

We all know that the use of plastic has been banned in India and even Bollywood celebs are doing their bit for a plastic-free nation. A few days ago, the team of the film Coolie No. 1 decided to go plastic-free on the sets and started using steel bottles instead of plastic bottles.

Varun Dhawan took to Twitter to inform this to his fans. He had tweeted, “Being a plastic-free nation is the need of the hour and great initiative taken by our prime minister and we can all do this by making small changes. The sets of #CoolieNo1 will now only use steel bottles. @PMOIndia.”

The actor had tweeted this on 1st September, but it has now grabbed the attention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. PM Modi took to Twitter to praise the team of the film. He tweeted, “Superb gesture by the team of #CoolieNo1! Happy to see the film world contributing towards freeing India from single use plastic.”

Well, Bollywood celebs influence the people of the country in many ways and when celebs do such gesture it surely inspires their fans to follow the same.

Talking about Coolie No. 1, the film, which is being directed by David Dhawan, also stars Sara Ali Khan and Shikha Talsania. The movie is a remake of 1995 release Coolie No. 1 which was also helmed by David Dhawan. The original movie starred Govinda and Karisma Kapoor in the lead roles and was a huge hit at the box office. The remake will hit the screens on 1st May 2020.

Recently, while talking about the pressure of reprising Karisma’s role in the remake, Sara had stated, “I am of course aware of the pressure that it comes with because she (Karisma Kapoor) is such a megastar. And to be able to do justice with what she has done is going to be difficult. I have spoken with Varun about this, and I don’t think that it’s our job to take the stress of that, because if we will get bogged up about it, then we might not perform well.”
