Omung Kumar set to explore digital space with an Amazon Prime series

Digital is the future! Almost every second filmmaker is branching out to the emergent medium to explore new avenues in order to create fresh content which reaches out to a global audience. In the list of Bollywood filmmakers who have made inroads to digital space, yet another powerful name is going to find a mention.

We are talking about National award-winning filmmaker Omung Kumar who, according to reports, is set to venture into digital space. Reportedly, the Mary Kom (2014) director is presently busy developing a web series for one of the leading digital platforms, Amazon Prime Video.


Apart from producing the series, Kumar will call the shots for the same. Though nothing much is known about the untitled project, some insiders reveal it will be a romantic drama, something which the director has never attempted before.

Amazon Prime Video has also announced the second season of their hit series Mirzapur. Titled Mirzapur 2, the series will be produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani’s Excel Entertainment.

What began as a routine Bushtucker Trial quickly became the defining controversy of I'm a Celebrity... South Africa.

Jimmy Bullard and Adam Thomas were paired together for a challenge that required them to collect cogs while being swarmed by ants. Bullard decided he could not continue and used the show’s famous exit phrase, ending his participation in the trial. Because the pair were competing together, his decision also put Thomas’ future in the competition at risk.
