No replacement of Vikas Bahl as Super 30 helmer?

Following sexual harassment allegations by an ex-employee of Phantom Films, filmmaker Vikas Bahl was dropped as the director of Hrithik Roshan’s forthcoming film Super 30, jointly bankrolled by Phantom Films and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.

However, the latest we hear that there will be no replacement of Bahl as the entire film has already been shot and is presently in the post-production stage. Some recent reports had claimed that Kabir Khan was signed on to wrap up the pending work, but a source close to the development reveals that since the movie is complete, there is no question of any other director coming onboard.

"When a film is edit locked, there are no changes. Only the sound mixing needs to be done after the background music is added. So, the film is ready with its final runtime. Vikas Bahl and the writer Sanjiv Dutta had given a vision to the film which is now locked. Hence there is no question of the director being changed. Also, Kabir Khan is busy with 83 to take on any other work. Forget Kabir, the film does not need the director’s work anymore. So Vikas’ name will stay on the film as a director, as he had already completed his work," said the source.

Super 30 is a biopic on renowned Mathematician Anand Kumar. Hrithik Roshan plays the lead role in the movie, while popular television actress Mrunal Thakur, who was most recently seen in the award-winning film Love Sonia (2018), plays his wife.

The movie is slated to roll into cinemas on January 25, 2019.

Charli XCX has gone beyond the glitz to expose the sexism female pop stars still face. In a candid essay, she said that no matter what a woman does in pop music, someone will label it the wrong way. Sexy becomes “whore,” rebellious becomes “drug addict,” smart becomes “pretentious.” Her reflections also touch on the hidden side of touring life, showing that fame isn’t just lights and parties, it’s long waits, chaotic travel, and constant scrutiny.
