My playlist - DJ Heer

CANADIAN talent DJ Heer balances spinning the biggest hits live with hosting a radio show and writing about music. The dynamic DJ is not surprisingly surrounded by a huge music collection and found it challenging to select just 10 songs he loves, but after some thought selected some superb hits.

Chitta Kurta by Karan Aujla: This is my favourite track out in the industry currently. I don’t think any other artist in the industry comes close to Karan. All of his music is so relatable and the vocals are unreal.

Dhakka by Sidhu Moosewala Ft. Afsana Khan: This is a duet that sounds perfect. The vocals from Sidhu and Afsana flow great together. I would put Sidhu alongside Karan Aujla for being at the top of the industry.

Pyar Bolda by Jassa Dhillon: This track features excellent lyrics and an amazing bhangra beat produced by Gur Sidhu. It will have anyone up and dancing away.

Ptola by Mickey Singh Ft. Pam Sengh: This is a track that has an urban desi flavour all over it. The feature of Pam adds even more to this track and it is a reason that it is one of the biggest tracks.

Yaar Bolda by Gitaz Bindrakhia: The fact that Gitaz is the son of the late Surjit Bindrakhia definitely shows in the vocals. Tera Yaar Bolda from Surjit is one of the biggest bhangra tracks of all time, but the Gitaz version will be played for years to come and have everyone on the dance floors.

Sahiba by Intense Ft. Simiran Dhadli: This song is produced by Canadian talent Intense and as a Canadian myself, I feel I definitely have to support the local talent. Intense is one of the most popular producers in the world and has worked with all of the big artists. Simiran absolutely killed the vocals in this track and I do not think that there is any female out there who would have been better singing this track.

Maaje Diye Mombatiye by Balkar Sidhu & Jenny Johal: This track is a remix of the classic track, which featured Jaspal Jassi alongside Balkar Sidhu. Jenny adds a new touch to the track, which does not discount the original like most remakes usually do. Very strong vocals on a timeless track that will be popular for a very long time.

Don’t Worry by Karan Aujla: The combination of Karan Aujla and Deep Jandu is a force to be reckoned with. They are my favourite artist/producer combination in the industry. Every time they are together you know the track is going to be fire.

Deadly by AP Dhillon: As we know, much of the Punjabi music industry has turned to gangster type music and this is no exception. AP Dhillon has surged on to the scene and grown a huge following in such a short time. Deadly is a very catchy track and the lyrics get stuck into your head.

Punjabi Munde by G Sidhu Ft. Fateh & J-Statik: This huge hit is one of the top tracks in the industry. I love the G Sidhu and Fateh combination. The track has hip hop feels to it with amazing lyrics. It is a great North American collaboration between G Sidhu, Fateh and J-Statik.
