Mrunal Thakur to star opposite Ayushmann Khurrana in Stree Rog Vibhaag?

A couple of months ago, it was announced that Ayushmann Khurrana will be seen in a movie titled Stree Rog Vibhaag in which the actor will be seen playing the role of a gynecologist. It was said that the film will star Jawaani Jaaneman actress Alaya F as the female lead, but a few weeks ago, there were reports of Bhumi Pednekar being roped in for the film.

However, now according to a report in an entertainment portal, Mrunal Thakur will be seen opposite Ayushmann in the film. The source told the portal, "The makers were looking at someone to essay the female lead's part opposite Ayushmann. They wanted a girl who could look convincing carrying off a completely desi character. They were indeed in talks with Bhumi Pednekar and Alaya F, but we hear things didn't materialise with them. Now, they have roped in Mrunal Thakur for the role and she has also given her nod to the project."

Well, we must say that Mrunal Thakur is on a roll. The actress made her debut last year with Hrithik Roshan starrer Super 30 and also starred opposite John Abraham in Batla House. She currently has movies like Jersey, Toofan and Aankh Micholi in her kitty. And if the reports turn out to be true, then we would get to see her in Stree Rog Vibhaag as well.

Talking about Ayushmann Khurrana, the actor was last seen on the big screen in Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. The film did reasonably well at the box office. The actor’s next release will be Gulabo Sitabo which also stars Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role.

I’d like to share my thoughts reflecting on the government’s latest budget announcements and considering what they will mean for our businesses, voluntary sector, and communities.

The budget brought a few positives for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). At the start of 2025, there were some 5.7 million businesses. Of these 5.6 million (98.9 per cent) were classified as small; 38,435 companies were medium sized, while just 8,335 companies comprise large businesses with more than 250 employees.
