Mouni Roy to romance Rajkummar Rao in Made In China

Mouni Roy is on a roll these days! The gorgeous actress, who started her career on television before foraying into the movies, is signing one big Bollywood movie after the other. The latest project which she has just added to her kitty in Made In China.

Yes, Roy has been cast to play the female lead in producer Dinesh Vijan’s next venture, titled Made In China. The actress will romance national award-winning actor Rajkummar Rao in the movie, who plays the male lead in it.


Made In India is a story of a Gujarati man who resorts to some bizarre ways to become one of the most successful businessmen of Gujarat. Though the whole film revolves around the journey of Rao’s character, Mouni will have enough screen time to make her presence felt in it.

Confirming her casting in the flick, noted film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh wrote on Twitter, “#NewsAlert: Mouni Roy to play Rajkummar Rao’s wife in quirky comedy #MadeInChina. Directed by Mikhail Musale. Produced by Dinesh Vijan. Starts Sept 2018 in Mumbai, followed by Gujarat and China.”

Made In China will be directed by renowned Gujarati director Mikhail Musale.

Meanwhile, Mouni Roy is gearing herself up for the release of her debut movie Gold, co-starring Akshay Kumar. Helmed by Reema Kagti, the sports drama film hits the silver screen on 15th August, 2018. Her next Bollywood release will be the Ayan Mukerji directed Brahmastra.
