Morrisons launches ‘living is giving’ campaign during Ramadan

MORRISONS has launched its popular ‘living is giving’ campaign for the fourth year in stores across the UK to promote the spirit of giving during Ramadan.

This year the campaign will support CLIC Sargent’s mission, which provides the best possible care for young lives against cancer. By joining the unique initiative, customers can help raise money which will be contributed to the charity.

It encourages customers to give back to the wider community and support local charities.

As part of the campaign, Morrisons has partnered with leading products such as Cofresh Snacks, KTC Flour, Rubicon Juices, Madina Dates, Badshah Basmati Rice, Laila Basmati Rice, Humza Samosas, IndusChupattyFlour, Pakeeza Mango Lassi, Fudco Almonds, and ShazansFoods this year to donate a portion of price per pack to CLIC Sargent.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 lockdown, the campaign encourages the community to observe Ramadan at home with their families and avoid public gatherings. Morrisons has launched a new ‘Ramadan essentials box’, packed with traditional and popular Ramadan staples. This can be ordered online and will be delivered directly to customers’ doorsteps, said the company.

“This box contains many of the products that will see our customers through Ramadan,” said Noor Ali, Morrisons World Foods senior buying manager.

“Our food boxes are a lifeline for many customers at this very difficult time and are providing essential food to people that either cannot leave their home or struggle to reach the supermarket. Do your part to help your community this Ramadan. Stay safe, stay home and give back with Morrisons.”

The ‘living is giving’ items can be purchased online at groceries.morrisons.com. To participate in the campaign, visit -livingisgiving.co.uk.
