Missing woman found murdered under Hayes flyover

Police have launched a murder investigation after the body of a woman reported missing a week ago was found underneath a flyover in Hayes.

Pardeep Kaur was last seen on Sunday (16) when CCTV captured her walking down Harlington High Street at 4 pm. Her family reported the 30-year-old missing the next day when she failed to turn up to work at a hotel in Heathrow, where she was employed as a housekeeper.

On Thursday two men, aged 30 and 31, were arrested in connection to Mrs Kaur’s disappearance but have now been bailed until December when they are expected to face further police questioning.

Detective Chief Inspector Mark Lawson has asked for anyone who has any information or saw Mrs Kaur in the lead up to her death to come forward and contact the Metropolitan Police Department.

He said: “At this early stage of the investigation I am appealing to any witnesses in the Carlton Avenue and Bedwell Gardens area who may have been driving to work to come forward.

“They may have seen Pardeep walking to work at about 6.30am on Monday, October 17.”

Mrs Kaur’s next of kin have been informed and a post-mortem will be carried out to discover cause of death.

Anyone with information should call the incident room on 0208 358 0200 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Naveed Akram and his father Sajid Akram are alleged to have killed 15 people at a Hanukkah event on December 14, Australia's worst mass shooting in almost three decades that shocked the nation and led to immediate reforms of already strict gun laws.
