Raj Mehta, who had directed last year’s release Good Newwz, is all set for his next directorial titled Jug Jug Jiyo. The film stars Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, and Kiara Advani.

And now, according to a report in Bollywood Hungama, Maniesh Paul has joined the cast of the film. A source told the entertainment portal, "Maniesh Paul has been recently signed for the film, there have been various discussions and readings so as to mold the character for the actor. He plays a very important role which fits the family puzzle perfectly and has a strong role that impacts the film."

Reportedly, the film will go on the floors in Chandigarh this month.

While Dharma Productions is yet to announce the film officially, recently, Anil Kapoor on Instagram gave confirmation about the movie. He shared a monochrome picture of himself and captioned it as, “Here’s me looking forward to AKvsAK & JugJugg Jeeyo! #Cantwait!!”

While Varun and Kiara have romanced in Kalank (in a few scenes), this will be for the first time when Anil Kapoor and Neetu Kapoor are paired opposite each other. A source had earlier stated, “Although Anil is around the same age as Neetuji they never came together because Neetuji started her career before Anil and together with Rishi Kapoor. So she was seen to belong to the generation of actors before Anil.”

Meanwhile, if the report of Maniesh joining the cast of the film turns out to be true, we would surely expect a lot of laughter in the movie.
