Manav Kaul to play Saina Nehwal’s coach in her biopic, shares his first look

Saina Nehwal’s biopic titled Saina starring Parineeti Chopra in the lead role is surely one of the most awaited films of 2020. The shooting of the film kickstarted a few weeks ago, and it has been revealed now that the very talented actor Manav Kaul will be seen playing the role of Saina Nehwal’s coach in the film.

Manav took to Instagram to share his first look from the movie. He posted, “My first look as @nehwalsaina ‘a Coach (respect ??) #SainaNehwalBiopic ... hard working @parineetichopra as Saina Nehwal... Directed by #AmoleGupte Produced by @itsbhushankumarofficial @tseries.official @tseriesfilms.”


Saina commented on his post, “Amazing ?”. To this Manav replied, “@nehwalsaina you have an amazing story to tell ... I feel very lucky to be part of #sainanehwalbiopic ☺️??thank you ... respect ??”

Manav has been in the industry from the past many years, but he rose to fame with his performance in 2017 release Tumhari Sulu in which he played the role of Vidya Balan’s husband. He has also made a mark in the digital world with his performance in Alt Balaji’s The Verdict - State vs Nanavati.

Directed by Amole Gupte, earlier Shraddha Kapoor was supposed to play the lead role in Saina. The actress practiced for her part for many months but later opted to star in Street Dancer instead of Saina.

Parineeti recently got injured while shooting for the film. She posted on Instagram, “Dude. Me and the entire team of Saina have been taking so much care that I shouldn't get an injury, but shit happens. Will rest it as much as I can before I can start playing badminton again. ? #SainaNehwalBiopic.”

A few days ago, Parineeti had also met Saina and posted the picture of the same on Instagram. She had captioned the picture as, “30 more days to be her ... and live her!! ? #SainaNehwalBiopic @nehwalsaina.”
