Former liquour baron Vijay Mallya, who is wanted in India for defaulting on bank loans, is scheduled to appear on Tuesday (13) before Westminster Magistrates’ Court here for his extradition case hearing. Mallya, 61, who is wanted for Kingfisher Airlines’ default on loans adding up to nearly Rs 9,000 crores (£1.1 billion), has been in the UK since March 2016 and was arrested by Scotland Yard on an extradition warrant on April 18.
