Makers of Bamfaad reveal why they opted to cast Paresh Rawal’s son Aditya Rawal in their film

Paresh Rawal’s son Aditya Rawal has made his acting debut with Zee5’s original film Bamfaad. The movie is produced by Pradeep Kumar and Shaika Parween of Shaika Films and Ajay Rai of Jar Pictures, and it is presented by Anurag Kashyap.

Recently, while talking about casting Aditya for Bamfaad, producer Pradeep Kumar said, “When we (Anurag Kashyap, Ranjan, Pradeep & Ajay) saw his audition shown by Tarun Bajaj, casting director of this film, there was something in him which got us hooked but the mock shoot just filled the gap of the person required to play the role of Nasir Jamal. I am into Television and I personally always believe in launching new talent, be it television or film. Aditya Rawal is a super talented lad with a whole lot of experience in writing and acting in theatre. He is a very hardworking boy, he took interest in his character, did his homework for that and had gone to Kanpur before the shoot started, to just get into the skin of the character of a Kanpuria boy and lingo. After a few days of shoot, somebody even compared him to Mr. Amitabh Bachchan’s look of his initial years, regarding performance that will be known to everybody soon.”

Producer Ajay Rai added, “In his very first impression we knew that he is that character that we were looking for and after his audition, things became even clearer. He is an extremely hardworking actor who gets into the core of the character and he starts living it. What better than having an actor like him as the lead of your film!”

Bamfaad also stars Shalini Pandey and it started streaming on Zee5 from 10th April.
