From rumour to confirmation

Kim Kardashian and Lewis Hamilton have confirmed they are in a relationship, days after reports emerged linking the pair following a low-key countryside break in Oxfordshire.

Speculation began after Kardashian was seen arriving in the UK for a discreet overnight stay at a luxury country retreat, where she and the Formula One champion were reported to have kept a deliberately low profile. At the time, neither commented publicly, fuelling rumours of a developing romance. The relationship has now been confirmed, turning what was initially reported as a private getaway into their first acknowledged step into the public eye as a couple.

Private arrival in Oxfordshire

Kardashian, 45, is said to have arrived from Los Angeles on Saturday afternoon aboard her private jet, landing at Oxford Airport. Two vehicles were waiting to transfer her to Estelle Manor, a Grade II-listed country estate near Witney in Oxfordshire.

Around an hour later, Hamilton, 41, reportedly arrived by helicopter from London’s Battersea Heliport, avoiding public attention as guests continued to use the hotel’s communal areas.

Luxury retreat and heightened security

According to sources, the pair had private access to the resort’s wellness facilities before dining together in an exclusive room. They are said to have stayed in a suite within the main wing of the 85-acre estate.

Security was reportedly kept tight throughout the visit, with staff positioned outside their room to prevent disturbances. Kardashian was said to be accompanied by three members of her security team and travelled with multiple suitcases for the overnight stay.

Kept under wraps

Witnesses described Kardashian’s arrival as deliberately low-key, with the star quickly escorted inside the venue. Hamilton was later seen arriving separately, maintaining discretion as other guests moved freely around the hotel.

Neither posted on social media during the stay. On Sunday morning, Hamilton was reportedly seen using the gym and walking around the estate before the pair left together shortly before midday.

Kardashian was later spotted leaving through a side entrance, while Hamilton exited via the main doors.

Long-standing connection

Hamilton and Kardashian have known each other for more than a decade and were previously photographed together at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in 2014, alongside their former partners Kanye West and Nicole Scherzinger.

Hamilton has also maintained friendly ties with the Kardashian-Jenner family, including Kendall Jenner, who accompanied him at the Miami Grand Prix in 2024. Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner, was previously seen with Hamilton in the paddock at the Monaco Grand Prix in 2019.

Careers moving at pace

Hamilton is preparing for the 2026 Formula One season with Ferrari, marking a new chapter in his racing career, while Kardashian continues to expand her shapewear brand Skims, which has been valued at around £3.6 billion. While the pair have now confirmed their relationship, they have yet to share further details publicly.

Housepipe ban

A prolonged heatwave and unusually low river levels have prompted fresh water restrictions in southern England

How the UK's record heatwave left rainy Britain facing a hosepipe ban

  • Around one million customers across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight will be placed under a hosepipe ban from July 10.
  • Southern Water says the River Test has fallen to critically low levels after the UK's record heatwave and an exceptionally dry spring.
  • The restrictions could remain in place until autumn unless there is significant and sustained rainfall.

Britain may be famous for its rainy weather, but the country's recent record-breaking heatwave has left parts of southern England facing a very different problem. Around one million people across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight will come under a hosepipe ban from July 10 as water supplies come under growing pressure.

The restrictions, announced by Southern Water, follow the warmest spring on record and a spell of extreme temperatures that pushed parts of the UK to 37C last week. Although cooler weather has since arrived in some regions, Southern Water says river levels remain too low to support normal water demand.
