Kriti Sanon to feature in a special song in Kalank

There is no denying the fact that Dharma Productions’ forthcoming period drama Kalank is one of the most-awaited films of 2019. There are loads of reasons that make it so hotly anticipated, one of them being its ensemble cast.

While we all know that the Abhishek Verman directorial stars Sanjay Dutt, Madhuri Dixit, Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur in lead roles, what many of us may not know is that gorgeous Kriti Sanon is also a part of the big-ticket offering, albeit in a special song.

Sanon, who is looking forward to the release of his next film Luka Chuppi, shot for the special number last year in June. Talking about the song, the actress says, “It’s a full-on desi dance number and we’ve worked extremely hard on it. It has a “Kajra Re” and “Ghagra” sort of a feel to it.”

“Since Kalank is a period film, you will see me in a very different avatar. In fact, this is the first time that Manish Malhotra, who I have been telling since my modelling days to do a film with me, has styled me for a song,” the actress beams.

Produced by Karan Johar in association with Sajid Nadiadwala, Kalank is set to enter theatres on 19th April, 2019.
