And now, according to a report in Bollywood Hungama, the actor will be seen in Neerja director, Ram Madhvani’s next film.

A source told the entertainment portal, “It’s a subject that Kartik loved in the first narration and instantly allotted his dates to Madhvani. It’s a different space for Kartik, who so far is synonymous with rom-coms, and he is all charged up to embark on this new journey."

Reportedly, the shooting of the film will kickstart in December and will be wrapped up in 45 to 50 days. “In-fact, it will be ready before his already on floors films like Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Dostana 2. It will most probably release during summer 2021,” the source further stated.

It is said that an official announcement about the film will be made soon with the title and the name of the female lead.

After Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Kartik Aaryan has become a star and has featured in successful films like Luka Chuppi and Pati Patni Aur Woh. However, earlier this year, Kartik starred in Love Aaj Kal opposite Sara Ali Khan and the film failed to make a mark at the box office. Meanwhile, after Neerja, Ram Madhvani has not helmed any film, but he directed Sushmita Sen starrer web series Aarya which released on Disney+ Hotstar a few months ago.
