Kartik Aaryan & Dinesh Vijan team up for yet another film?

Kartik Aryan, who is inching closer to stardom with each new film, is in high demand in Bollywood. The actor was seen in two films in 2019 and both of them turned out to be huge money spinners at the box-office and took his popularity to another level. After an immensely successful 2019, Kartik Aaryan has a lot of hopes pinned on 2020.

With an aim of building a resume of electric performances, the actor begins 2020 with the release of Love Aaj Kal. Also starring Sara Ali Khan, Aarushi Sharma and Randeep Hooda in important roles, the film has been directed by Imtiaz Ali and enters theatres on Valentine’s Day.

Though Love Aaj Kal is still a few hours away from hitting theatres, we hear that its producer Dinesh Vijan has already signed the actor for another film. Yes, you heard it right! Kartik and Dinesh have previously worked together on Luka Chuppi last year. Now the producer seems so confident about the success of Love Aaj Kal that he has already signed the actor for another outing.

“Kartik has already delivered a big hit Luka Chuppi for Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. Love Aaj Kal has not even released, but Dinesh is so confident of its success that he has already signed Kartik for another film, to be directed by Imtiaz Ali,” a source in the know informs a popular entertainment website.

Rumours have been rife lately that Imtiaz Ali is planning a film on Radhe-Krishna. The director is keen to have Kartik Aaryan and Deepika Padukone onboard to play the lead characters in the yet to be titled film. Looks like it is the same project for which Dinesh Vijan has roped in Kartik. An official announcement is highly awaited though.

Abhishek Jain's Maaran explores the dark realities of patriarchy through the gripping survival stories of two women

Abhishek Jain's 'Maaran' is a gripping Gujarati survival thriller that exposes the dark side of patriarchy and power

In Maaran, director Abhishek Jain trades urban comfort for unsettling discomfort, presenting a grim world where women’s bodies are battlegrounds and silence is often enforced by fear. Set in an isolated village, the film drags the viewer into a reality that is as disturbing as it is familiar.

At the heart of the film are two women: Birwa and Tara. Strangers at first, they are bound by the same invisible chains that pull countless women into cycles of exploitation. Birwa is a victim of human trafficking; Tara is on the brink of becoming one. Their stories run parallel, then collide, in ways that shake them and us to the core. The film’s narrative doesn’t offer dramatic rescues or grand revenge. Instead, it focuses on the internal shifts that happen when survival becomes a woman’s only compass.
