Karan Johar, Sajid Nadiadwala & Fox Star Studios join forces for a period film!

Dharma Productions, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Fox Star Studios, three biggest names in the movie business, have come together to produce a lavish period-drama film, starring Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt in lead roles.

There has been a lot of speculation about the said project in the past few months but now, putting all speculations to an end, Dharma Productions' head honcho, Karan Johar has finally spoken about it on social media.


Karan announced that for his ambitious project he has teamed up with Sajid Nadiadwala and Fox Star Studios and that his protégé Abhishek Varman, who has previously directed 2 States with Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, will helm the project which is tentatively titled Shiddat.

The filmmaker took to micro-blogging website Twitter to make the announcement. He wrote, “DHARMA collaborates with FOX STAR STUDIOS and SAJID NADIADWALA directed by ABHISHEK VARMAN …APRIL 19th, 2019 #GoodFriday ….”

Shiddat will mark the fourth collaboration of Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt with Dharma Production. They began their movie career with Karan Johar's Student Of The Year in 2012 and then went to appear in films like Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Bardrinath Ki Dulhania bankrolled under his production house.

The Nick Reiner murder case has entered its first formal stage in court. Two days after Hollywood figures Rob Reiner and Michele Reiner were found dead in their Los Angeles home, their surviving children issued a short statement asking for privacy and space.

Jake and Romy Reiner spoke of “unimaginable pain” and a “devastating loss” following the deaths of the director behind A Few Good Men and his photographer wife. They did not address the allegations against their brother Nick, now facing two counts of first-degree murder. They simply asked for “compassion” and said their parents were not only family but “best friends”.
