Kangana Ranaut & SRK to team up for a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film?

If latest media reports are to be believed, superstar Shah Rukh Khan might team up with filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali after a huge gap of 15 years. They had last collaborated for the gobsmackingly epic film, Devdas (2002) which also starred former beauty pageant winner Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and dhak-dhak girl Madhuri Dixit.

Reportedly, the director has discussed two projects with SRK and if all goes well, one of them may also star the Queen actress Kangana Ranaut as the female lead. One of the two films will be a period drama and Bhansali is keen to bring SRK and Ranaut onboard for the same. If that happens, it will be their first outing together as SRK and Kangana have never worked before.

When a daily recently got in touch with Khan and asked about the project with Kangana, he said, "There is a discussion of that film too. It is a period setting, but I don't really sit down and ask, who the other cast members are. It would be wonderful if she (Kangana Ranaut) is there, but we haven't honed on it yet. We have chatted about it, talked about it and we still haven't sat down and said we're starting this one."

Watching Shah Rukh Khan and Kangana Ranaut in a single frame on the silver screen in a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film will be an experience in itself. We just wish the trio announce their collaboration soon and give us an epic, entertaining film.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan is currently busy shooting for Anand L Rai's upcoming untitled film after the dismal performance of his last release, Jab Harry Met Sejal. Kangana Ranaut, on the other hand, is promoting her forthcoming film Simran. Director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is canning his period drama, Padmavati with Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor.
