Julie 2 returns in a bolder and hotter avatar!

Released way back in 2004, the erotic-drama film Julie turned out to be an instant hit at the box office. Its bold content and ample of skin-show drew a lot of audience to theatres and producers laughed all the way to the bank.

Julie remains one of the most profitable ventures of its female lead Neha Dhupia’s entire movie career. She played a girl who, plagued by circumstances beyond her control, becomes a high-profile prostitute in Mumbai after being dumped by her boyfriend. Dhupia received a positive response for her stellar performance in the movie.

Now, almost after 13 years of its release, the makers are coming up with its sequel, titled Julie 2. The film is being directed by Deepak Shivdasani, the same director who directed the original film.

Well-known South Indian actress Raani Laxmi will take the franchise forward with her even bolder and hotter avatar. She will mark her Bollywood debut with the flick. The latest poster of the thriller is out and if the first glimpse is anything to go by, the movie is definitely going to set the temperature high. The poster suggests that the new Julie will be bold, beautiful and blessed.

The teaser of the thriller film will be unveiled on August 29 on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube. Julie 2 is slated to release on 6th October.

I gave up cinema for my fans, says actor Vijay

ACTOR-POLITICIAN Vijay has said he decided to give up cinema to stand up for his fans, who, he said, offered him everything, including a “kottai” (fort).

Speaking at the audio launch of his film Jana Nayagan in Malaysia, Vijay said his decision was driven by the loyalty and support of his fans. In Tamil Nadu, the word kottai symbolises a stronghold and also refers to Fort St George in Chennai, which houses the state assembly, secretariat and the chief minister’s office.
