It’s a wrap for Ayushmann Khurrana starrer Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan

Ayushmann Khurrana had a fantastic 2019. The actor starred in three films this year, Article 15, Dream Girl and Bala, and all the three films performed very well at the box office. Dream Girl and Bala went on to become blockbuster by entering the 100 crore club.

Next year also Ayushmann has some interesting films like Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan and Gulabo Sitabo. Recently, the actor wrapped the shooting of Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan and on his Insta story shared a picture of a cake which had ‘Film Wrap’ written on it.


The movie is a sequel to 2017 release Shubh Mangal Saavdhan which starred Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar in the lead role. The 2017 release revolved around a man who is all set to get married but suffers from erectile dysfunction. Well, there’s no connection between the first instalment and the second instalment.

Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan has homosexuality as its basic plotline. Jitendra Kumar stars opposite Ayushmann Khurrana in the film. A few months ago, the makers had unveiled a video to introduce cast of the film and also give us a small glimpse of what to expect from the movie.

The movie was slated to release in March next year, but it has preponed to 21st February 2020. A few weeks ago, Ayushmann had posted about the new release date on Instagram. He had captioned the post as, “Bhaagte Bhagate aa rahe hain hum, #ShubhMangalZyadaSaavdhan ? - Releasing on 21st FEB 2020 @cypplOfficial @aanandlrai @TSeries.official @BhushanKumar @hiteshkewalya @gajrajrao @neena_gupta @jitendrak1 @manurishichadha @sunita_rajwar @maanvigagroo @pankhuri313 #NeerajSingh @smzsofficial.”
