Ishq Mein Marjawan 2 launch delayed amid Coronavirus outbreak

The Coronavirus outbreak, which has claimed over 16000 lives so far, has brought everyone’s day-to-day life to a complete halt. Just like any other business out there, the entertainment industry is also suffering massive losses in the wake of the pandemic.

Since shootings for all formats have been stalled for an indefinite time, leading general entertainment channels are making a lot of reshuffles in their programming. The latest update from the world of television is that Colors’ much-awaited show Ishq Mein Marjawan 2, whose promo garnered great response from the audience, will not be going on-air on its due date.

Yes, you heard it right! The channel has decided to defer the launch of the show due to the Coronavirus scare. Fans were waiting for the Helly Shah, Vishal Vashishtha and Rrahul Sudhir starrer Ishq Mein Marjawan 2 with bated breath. However, much to their chagrin, the launch of the show has now been pushed further.

Ishq Mein Marjawan 2, which happens to be the second season of Colors’ successful show Ishq Mein Marjawan, was set to hit the airwaves on 30th March 2020. But now the makers have decided to postpone its launch due to the Coronavirus crisis. There is no confirmation on the new premiere date of the show as the makers and the channel is yet to decide on the new launch date.

If the promo of Ishq Mein Marjawan 2 is anything to go by, the show revolves around the theme of love, revenge, and sacrifice. Apart from Helly Shah, Vishal Vashishtha and Rrahul Sudhir, Bigg Boss 13 contestant Madhurima Tuli has also been roped in to play an important role.

Two Sinners marks Samir Zaidi’s striking directorial debut

Samir Zaidi, director of 'Two Sinners', emerges as a powerful new voice in Indian film

Indian cinema has a long tradition of discovering new storytellers in unexpected places, and one recent voice that has attracted quiet, steady attention is Samir Zaidi. His debut short film Two Sinners has been travelling across international festivals, earning strong praise for its emotional depth and moral complexity. But what makes Zaidi’s trajectory especially compelling is how organically it has unfolded — grounded not in film school training, but in lived observation, patient apprenticeships and a deep belief in the poetry of everyday life.

Zaidi’s relationship with creativity began well before he ever stepped onto a set. “As a child, I was fascinated by small, fleeting things — the way people spoke, the silences between arguments, the patterns of light on the walls,” he reflects. He didn’t yet have the vocabulary for what he was absorbing, but the instinct was already in place. At 13, he turned to poetry, sensing that the act of shaping emotions into words offered a kind of clarity he couldn’t find elsewhere. “I realised creativity wasn’t something external I had to chase; it was a way of processing the world,” he says. “Whether it was writing or filmmaking, it came from the same impulse: to make sense of what I didn’t fully understand.”
