Irrfan Khan: Taking baby steps to merge my healing with work

Last year, actor Irrfan Khan was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumor. The actor flew down to London for the treatment and it was just a couple months ago when he came back to India after having a successful treatment. Irrfan has started the shooting of his movie Angrezi Medium which is a sequel to 2017 release Hindi Medium.

The actor has shared a note with media and has stated that he is taking baby steps to merge his healing with work. He has stated, “With Love, to all my friends in the media! Last few months have been on a road to recovery a period to heal to fight the fatigue and face the reel and real world. I am aware of your concern and request to talk to you, share my journey, but I am fathoming it myself inhaling and internalising, taking baby steps to merge my healing with work and trying to experiment the amalgamation of both.”

He has thanked media for all the wishes and prayers and for respecting his journey. He said, “I am deeply touched by your wishes, your prayers and it means a lot for me and my family. I truly respect the way you respected my journey giving me time and space to heal. Thank you for your patience and the warmth and the love all through this overwhelming journey.”

He ended the note with a quote, “'I feel an urge to share with you something. I live my life in widening rings which spread over earth and sky. I may not ever complete the last one, but that is what I will try. I circle around God's primordial tower, and I circle ten thousand years long; And I still don't know if I'm a falcon, a storm, or an unfinished song’ – Rilke.”

Water demand sparks questions around shoot logistics

The upcoming pan-Indian film Varanasi, directed by S. S. Rajamouli and starring Mahesh Babu, has reportedly run into a logistical challenge ahead of a key shooting schedule. According to reports, the production team sought a substantial number of water tankers for an underwater sequence being prepared at a specially constructed set near Gaganpahad in Hyderabad.

It is claimed that around 150 tankers, each carrying 10,000 litres, were requested from the city’s water authorities. However, the request was reportedly turned down due to ongoing summer shortages and increasing demand for drinking water across Hyderabad. There has been no official confirmation from the makers, though the reports have circulated widely online.
