India president Pranab Mukherjee condemns Manchester terror attack

India president Pranab Mukherjee has strongly condemned the blast in Manchester which killed at least 22 people and injured around 59.

In a series of tweets, the president said he was shocked to hear of the Manchester blast and conveyed condolences to the families of deceased and prayers for injured.


"India stands by government and people of UK in this hour of distress," Mukherjee said.

The explosion occurred at a pop concert by the US star Ariana Grande in the Manchester Arena which is being treated as a terrorist incident.

The pop star is safe after the incident.

MORE than 500,000 NHS staff will be given access to new artificial intelligence tools aimed at reducing time spent on administrative work, NHS England said on Monday.
