India president Pranab Mukherjee condemns Manchester terror attack

India president Pranab Mukherjee has strongly condemned the blast in Manchester which killed at least 22 people and injured around 59.

In a series of tweets, the president said he was shocked to hear of the Manchester blast and conveyed condolences to the families of deceased and prayers for injured.


"India stands by government and people of UK in this hour of distress," Mukherjee said.

The explosion occurred at a pop concert by the US star Ariana Grande in the Manchester Arena which is being treated as a terrorist incident.

The pop star is safe after the incident.

Streeting orders review into rising mental health diagnoses

WES STREETING has ordered an independent review of how mental health conditions are diagnosed as Labour moves to examine rising welfare costs.

The health secretary is concerned about the increase in diagnoses of mental illness, autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), which are now the most common reason for a sickness benefit claim, reported The Times.
