Hrithik Roshan to shake a leg with Madhuri Dixit

Last seen in his home production, Kaabil (2017), superstar Hrithik Roshan is looking forward to his next film, Super 30. Since the Kaho Na Pyaar Hai (2000) actor is coming back with a film after a gap of two and a half year, he has just started promoting Super 30 in a big way ahead of its release.

With promotions underway for the Vikas Bahl directorial, Hrithik Roshan will join forces with evergreen Madhuri Dixit on the stage of Colors’ popular dance reality show, Dance Deewane 2. Yes, you heard that absolutely right! Hrithik Roshan will shake a leg with dancing diva Madhuri Dixit on the sets of Dance Deewane 2.

The show, where Madhuri Dixit graces the judging panel along with filmmaker Shashank Khaitan and choreographer Tushar Kalia, will see Hrithik Roshan shoot a special part on Monday. Hrithik will appear on the show with actress Mrunal Thakur, who plays his love interest in Super 30. The audience is already excited to know that HR is coming to Dance Deewane 2.

According to reports, Junior Roshan will dance with Madhuri Dixit on the latter’s hit song ‘Ghoonghte Main Chanda’ from the 1997 film Koyla, which starred superstar Shah Rukh Khan as the male lead. Interestingly, Hrithik Roshan was an assistant director on the sets of Koyla which was directed by his filmmaker father, Rakesh Roshan.

Super 30, based on the life of award-winning mathematician Anand Kumar, is scheduled to roll into cinemas on 12th June 2019. It is bankrolled by Phantom Films, Reliance Entertainment and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.

TroyBoi returns to his Indian roots with Rootz EP using Lata Mangeshkar’s voice to redefine British diaspora music

Highlights:

  • TroyBoi’s five-track EP Rootz is a personal return to the sounds of his childhood, released via Ultra Records in September 2025.
  • The single Kabhi uses an officially cleared sample of Lata Mangeshkar’s vocal from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham.
  • Collaborations with Amrit Maan, Jazzy B and BombayMami plug Punjabi, Bhangra and south-Asian textures directly into modern trap and bass production.
  • This EP is part of a wider wave: British artists born into diasporas are using heritage not as garnish but as foundation.

Some albums hit you in ways you don’t see coming. Rootz is one of them. Not just another trap EP. TroyBoi, the London-born producer known for global bass and trap, has made something that’s also deeply personal. He didn’t just want to make music that bangs in clubs; instead, he wanted to reach back to the India of his childhood. And he did it with Rootz.

The track everyone’s talking about is Kabhi. Because it’s not just sampling Bollywood. Lata Mangeshkar’s voice was officially cleared for use on a non-Bollywood release, a milestone reported by multiple outlets. It’s history. It’s memory. And it’s a bridge.
