Hindi remake of Vijay Deverakonda starrer Dear Comrade to be produced by Karan Johar

Kabir Singh starring Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani is a blockbuster at the box office. The film is a remake of Telugu movie Arjun Reddy which starred Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey in the lead roles. Now once more film starring Vijay will be remade in Hindi. We are talking about the movie Dear Comrade.

Directed by Bharat Kamma, Dear Comrade is a Telugu film and it will be hitting the screens on 26th July 2019. Recently, Karan Johar saw the movie and decided to remake it in Hindi. He tweeted, “Stunning and powerful love story! With top notch performances and exceptional music by @justin_tunes On point debut direction by @bharatkamma @TheDeverakonda is  BRILLIANT as is @iamRashmika well done @MythriOfficial ! ANNOUNCING that @DharmaMovies to REMAKE this beautiful film.”


Vijay replied to Karan, “So proud to have this man, watch, love and be the one to remake our baby #DearComrade in Hindi. Team Dear Comrade ✊? Comrade @karanjohar ❤ biggest hugs, love and respect for you. Can't wait to do something mad with you and @DharmaMovies #DearComradeOnJuly26th.”

Well, it is not yet revealed that who will star in the Hindi remake of the film. But after reading Vijay’s tweet we wonder if the actor will make his Bollywood debut with Dear Comrade Hindi remake. Let’s wait and watch.

Dear Comrade also stars Rashmika Mandanna who has been a part of movies like Kirik Party, Anjani Putra, Chamak, Chalo, Geetha Govindam and Yajamana. Rashmika’s Kirik Party too was supposed to be remade in Hindi with Kartik Aaryan and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead roles. But the film has been put on a backburner.

Many movies from down South have been remade in Hindi and were successful. While Kabir Singh is already a blockbuster, there are reports that a Hindi remake of Telugu film Jersey is also being planned. It is said that Shahid Kapoor will be stepping into the shoes of Nani for the film.

Starmer rejects claims of favouring Indian workers in trade deal

PRIME MINISTER Keir Starmer on Wednesday dismissed criticism that the government had sold out British workers by offering tax exemptions to some Indian workers as part of the new free trade agreement with India. He called the claims “incoherent nonsense”.

The trade deal, announced on Tuesday, includes tariff reductions on British imports to India and allows some short-term Indian workers to be exempt from paying into Britain’s social security system for up to three years. The exemption is part of the Double Contributions Convention (DCC) and also applies to British workers in India.
