Film marking Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s onscreen reunion delayed

Buzz has it that the forthcoming Hindi film Gulab Jamun, which recently hit the headlines for being the movie marking the onscreen reunion of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan after a huge gap of eight years, is delayed.

So, what has caused this delay? Actually, the Sarvesh Mewara directorial was set to be produced by Phantom Films. But ever since the four founders, Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, Vikas Bahl and Madhu Mantena, decided to dissolve their production house amidst sexual harassment allegations against Bahl, the clouds of uncertainty have started hovering on the project.

"The pre-production work on the film had started and Sarvesh was scouting for locations. The announcement of Phantom Films' dissolution took everyone by surprise and has left the Gulab Jamun team in the lurch. Sarvesh has already been advised to approach other production houses,” a source lets on.

We hope Sarvesh Mewara finds a new production house soon, so that the project can get back on the track once again.
