Film marking Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s onscreen reunion delayed

Buzz has it that the forthcoming Hindi film Gulab Jamun, which recently hit the headlines for being the movie marking the onscreen reunion of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan after a huge gap of eight years, is delayed.

So, what has caused this delay? Actually, the Sarvesh Mewara directorial was set to be produced by Phantom Films. But ever since the four founders, Anurag Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motwane, Vikas Bahl and Madhu Mantena, decided to dissolve their production house amidst sexual harassment allegations against Bahl, the clouds of uncertainty have started hovering on the project.


"The pre-production work on the film had started and Sarvesh was scouting for locations. The announcement of Phantom Films' dissolution took everyone by surprise and has left the Gulab Jamun team in the lurch. Sarvesh has already been advised to approach other production houses,” a source lets on.

We hope Sarvesh Mewara finds a new production house soon, so that the project can get back on the track once again.

Kinski’s criticism leads to dramatic reversal

More than 50 years after its release, Wim Wenders has withdrawn his 1975 film Wrong Move following renewed criticism from actor Nastassja Kinski, who appeared topless in the film at the age of 13.

The German director announced that streaming services, television broadcasters and distribution partners had been instructed to stop making the film publicly accessible. The decision comes weeks after Kinski revealed she had spent 15 years unsuccessfully trying to persuade Wenders to alter the film.
