TALENTED actress Tejasswi Prakash Wayangankar has delighted fans with winning turning on television serials like Swaragini and Pehredaar Piya Ki. Sweta Jain and Lakshmi Githu from India along with Anzana Bista from Nepal run a fan club dedicated to the beautiful star. Eastern Eye caught up with them to find out more.
What made you set up the fan club?
Our love for Tejasswi is the reason we set up this fan club. We also wanted to create a platform to represent the whole fandom to media and related sources. Also many a time there are unnecessary negativities, so we use this fan club to maintain peace and spread love.
Tell us more about your fan club.
Our fan club is completely dedicated to Tejasswi Prakash Wayangankar. We try to keep all our followers updated about everything related to her. This includes her shows, events and personal details. As Tejasswi isn’t on Twitter we try our best to keep all Tejaholics on there updated with her latest news.
What has been your most memorable moment?
There have been many including recently on her birthday June 10 2017. We, along with some Tejaholics collected money and brought some gifts like diaries and games for orphans. We let our gifts reach Tejassawi so that she could distribute them to kids at an orphanage. That smile on her face when she came to know about our efforts was magical. She made it more memorable by posting photos with the kids and stating how pleased she was that we sent gifts for kids instead of her. She even mentioned her fans as her inspiration. No doubt that day was the best for us.
What is the best thing about Tejasswi?
Her belief in simplicity. She has childlike innocence and is like a magical spell spreading joy everywhere. Anyone who knows her becomes a fan forever. She is down to earth and never flaunts being a celebrity. She is our inspiration and someone we look upon when we are sad. Her smile lights up our day.
What is your favourite work she has done?
Tejasswi has played different shades in her shows. We personally connect the most to Ragini from SwaRagini. She played all the shades flawlessly. Overall she adds life to each character she plays onscreen.
Tell us an interesting fact about Tejasswi.
She is a trained classical singer, dancer, basketball player, swimmer and engineer with a degree in telecommunications. The most amusing thing is she never dreamed of being an actor. Today she is one of the most popular actresses on TV.
What is your definition of a true fan?
A true fan is not someone who is there from the beginning, but one who will be there until the end.
