It's curtain down for The Kapil Sharma Show!

One of the most popular standup comedy shows in the entire history of Indian television, The Kapil Sharma Show is going off air soon. Aired on Sony Entertainment Television, the show is bidding adieu to the audience due to the poor health condition of its host, comedian Kapil Sharma.

But if you thought that this is the end of the ball game for the comedy show, then wait! The show will make a grand comeback once Kapil recuperates properly and feels fit enough to host the show with the same vim and vigour.

“Kapil has been under the weather for some time now, due to which we have mutually agreed to take a short break. “However, once Kapil has recovered completely, we will start shooting once again. We value our relationship with Kapil and wish him a speedy recovery," an official spokesperson from SONY TV revealed in a statement.

The Drama Company, another popular comedy show on the channel featuring Mithun Chakraborty, Krushna Abhishek, Ali Asgar, Dr. Sanket Bhosale, Sugandha Mishra, Sudesh Lehri and Ridhima Pandit, will now occupy the 9:00 PM slot while its slot will be given to the second edition of the popular kids dancing reality show, Super Dancer.
