Bollywood celebs mourn Rishi Kapoor’s demise

It is hard to believe that yesterday Irrfan Khan passed away and today, we have lost veteran actor Rishi Kapoor. The Karz actor took his last breath this morning at H.N. Reliance Hospital in Mumbai.

A lot of Bollywood actors took to their social media to mourn Rishi Kapoor’s demise, and in most of their posts, we can read that they can’t believe that the actor is no more.


Akshay Kumar tweeted, “It seems like we’re in the midst of a nightmare...just heard the depressing news of #RishiKapoor ji passing away, it’s heartbreaking. He was a legend, a great co-star and a good friend of the family. My thoughts and prayers with his family ??”

Aamir Khan wrote, “We have lost one of the greats today. An amazing actor, a wonderful human being, and 100% a child of Cinema. Thank you for all the joy you brought to our lives. Thank you for being the actor and human being that you were. You will be badly missed Rishiji. Love. a.”

Shahid Kapoor posted, “You will always be in our hearts sir. Your charm your warmth and your unforgettable performances will give light to us all in the darkest moments. Deepest condolences to Neetuji , Ranbir and the entire family.”

Madhuri Dixit, who has worked with Rishi Kapoor in multiple films, tweeted, “I've had the honour of working with Rishi ji. A larger than life person, so outspoken yet so warm. We have lost a brilliant actor today. Still can't believe it.. absolutely heartbroken. My prayers are with the family during this tough time.”

Juhi Chawla, who was shooting with Rishi Kapoor before the lockdown for Sharmaji Namkeen, wrote, “No no no no .... this is not happening ...!! This is sad ............... ... very very very very very sad...!!! See-no-evil monkey.... I'm shocked beyond words .....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Priyanka Chopra tweeted, “My heart is so heavy. This is the end of an era. #Rishisir your candid heart and immeasurable talent will never be encountered again. Such a privilege to have known you even a little bit. My condolences to Neetu maam, Ridhima, Ranbir and the rest of the family. Rest in peace Sir.”

Kangana Ranaut’s team posted her statement, “A person who has always been lively and vibrant and extremely friendly... an actor who always encouraged and appreciated me. My heart goes out to Neetu ji. Rest in Peace #RishiKapoor ?? - #KanganaRanaut.”

Anushka Sharma tweeted, “I'm at an absolute & total loss for words.Holding this phone in disbelief. Yesterday Irrfan and now .... Gutted , sad , heartbroken .I truly believed you'll come out of this .You will be missed , Sir . RIP . Om Shanti.”

Amitabh Bachchan had tweeted about it, but later he deleted the tweet. He wrote, “He’s Gone ..! Rishi Kapoor .. gone .. just passed away .. I am destroyed !

A new collaboration for Fennell’s dark reimagining

Charli XCX has announced the release of her new single House, created for Emerald Fennell’s upcoming adaptation of Wuthering Heights. The track, due out on 10 November, marks the first piece of music from the film’s soundtrack and features John Cale of The Velvet Underground.

The pop star shared the news on social media, revealing a teaser of the song’s video and describing the collaboration as a creative turning point after her last album, Brat.
