Birthday Special: Top 5 performances of Katrina Kaif

When Katrina Kaif started her Bollywood journey, she was panned by critics for her acting skills. More than her performance, she was known for her dancing skills and in almost every film she had one dance number that would make us ignore her acting. However, soon, Katrina started proving everyone wrong and started giving some performances in which she proved her mettle as an actress.

Today, Katrina Kaif celebrates her 36th birthday. So, we decided to list down the top five performances of the actress…

New York

The first time when Katrina Kaif made us sit back and notice her acting skills was in 2009 release New York. The film was directed by Kabir Khan and also starred John Abraham and Neil Nitin Mukesh. Katrina got thumbs up from the critics as well the audiences for her performance in the film.  For New York, she got her first nomination at Filmfare under Best Actress category.

Ek Tha Tiger

After New York, Kabir Khan roped in Katrina for his next Ek Tha Tiger opposite Salman Khan. Salman and Katrina had teamed up for a few films before this one, but ETT was surely the special one as both of them got an opportunity to show their acting skills. Katrina also got a chance to do some action in the film and she nailed it.

Phantom

We can clearly say that it is Kabir Khan who very knows how to make Katrina Kaif perform. In 2015, Kat and Kabir teamed up for Phantom. The movie is clearly one of the most underrated films of Bollywood and also one of the most underrated performances of Katrina.

Tiger Zinda Hai

Katrina and Salman returned on the big screen as Tiger and Zoya for the sequel of Ek Tha Tiger titled Tiger Zinda Hai. Katrina did a lot of action in this film and her performance was the highlight here. We cannot forget the whole action sequence of her in the song Tera Noor which was clearly the best part of the film. By the way, we hope to see a film titled Zoya Zinda Hai.

Zero

Aanand L Rai’s Zero surely disappointed us in many ways. But there was one thing that impressed us a lot in the film and that was Katrina Kaif’s performance. She was merely there for half an hour in the film, but she was the only element that made the film bearable. We wanted more of Katrina in the film. She also won Best Supporting Actress Award at Zee Cine Award.
