Ali Fazal to kick off his next in Lucknow

After the rousing success of his last Bollywood release, Fukrey Returns, actor Ali Fazal is set to kick-start his next movie Milan Talkies in Lucknow. Helmed by acclaimed filmmaker Tigmanshu Dhulia, the film is a romantic entertainer. Since Lucknow is Fazal's hometown, he is kicked about shooting his next in his own city.

“I have shot in Lucknow only once briefly for the Shah Rukh (Khan) produced Always Kabhi Kabhi with Giselli Monteiro. I’m happy we will be filming Milan Talkies extensively in my hometown. Tigmanshu sir knows more eating joints than I do in my own city,” the actor said.

Talking about roping in Fazal in the lead role, director Dhulia had earlier said, “Ali is from Lucknow and he best suits the role."

This will be the first time when Ali joins forces with Tigmanshu Dhulia for a film. The actor says that he has always been a fan of his work. “I was always a fan of his work and for some reason, the title of Milan Talkies was stuck in my mind for the last three-four years. The film has been in the news longer than that though,” he added.

Actress Shraddha Srinath plays Fazal's love interest in the movie. Seasoned actors Sanjay Mishra and Pankaj Tripathi are also part of the film. Besides Lucknow, Milan Talkies will also be shot in Mathura and Vrindavan.
