Ali Abbas Zafar confirms writing the next instalment of Tiger franchise

Filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar and superstar Salman Khan have worked together on three films so far. While their first two offering – Sultan (2016) and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) – have been declared all-time blockbusters, their third outing Bharat is yet to hit theatres and is expected to add another feather to the director-actor duo’s cap.

Rumours were rife lately that after the release of Bharat, Ali Abbas Zafar would work on the next instalment of the successful Tiger franchise, and when the director was asked about the same, he did confirm the development, saying that the film is right now in the writing process.

“Inshallah! We are right now in the writing process. We have locked the idea for the story and Salman and I are very excited about it. I will be working on that,” Zafar told an entertainment portal.

The filmmaker further added, “He and I share a great bond. It is almost like a sibling bond. Also, I think he is a very sensible actor and a sensible star when it comes to understanding what will be the USP of the film.”

Meanwhile, Zafar and Khan both are busy promoting Bharat, which arrives on Eid. The much-awaited film also features Katrina Kaif, Tabu, Disha Patani, Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty and Sunil Grover on its ensemble star cast.
