Aksar 2 postponed due to many films releasing on the same date!

Aksar 2, toplined by Zareen Khan and Gautam Rode, was all set to release on 6th October, but now the news is coming in that the makers have decided to push the film further as so many films are releasing on the same date.

Producer Chirag Bajaj confirmed the news. He says, “Yes, we have decided to push the release of Aksar 2 and are yet to finalize a new release date. We are expecting to lock the new release date later today.”

Talking about the reason behind pushing the film, he adds, “If you look at the date of October 6 it is rather cluttered with multiple films in Hindi, English, Marathi and other languages hitting screens. We want to avoid releasing our film in this clutter and hence have decided on pushing the release to a clearer day to help the film.”

Besides Aksar 2, Julie 2 is another Bollywood film which was earlier scheduled to release on 6th October but has been postponed now because days before its release it caught itself into a copyright infringement issue and hence the court has to put a stay on it.

Aksar 2, which also features Abhinav Shukla and Sreesanth, is a sequel to the Emraan Hashmi, Dino Morea, and Udita Goswami starrer 2006 film, Aksar. The film seems to be featuring the same trappings that hooked audiences last time.

The film is directed by Anant Mahadevan.

Amazon’s ‘God of War’ reset proves Hollywood can’t get video game adaptations right

Highlights

  • Dave Bautista is taking over as Kratos after Ryan Hurst's injury forced Amazon to recast the role.
  • The series is effectively starting again, with none of the footage from the original production being used.
  • The major reset puts fresh pressure on Amazon's attempt to adapt one of gaming's most recognisable franchises.

Hollywood's relationship with video game adaptations has changed considerably in recent years. Shows such as The Last of Us and Fallout have demonstrated that games can translate successfully to television when their characters and worlds are treated with care. Amazon's God of War, however, has already encountered a production setback that makes its journey to the screen considerably more complicated.

Dave Bautista has closed his deal to play Kratos in the Prime Video series after Ryan Hurst, who was originally cast in the role, suffered a serious on-set injury. Hurst reportedly tore his bicep while performing a stunt in June, around four months into filming. Amazon MGM Studios and Sony Pictures Television subsequently decided to recast the central role.
