Abhishek Bachchan teams up with Priyadarshan for Bachchan Singh!

It seems Abhishek Bachchan is on a movie signing spree. The actor, who has been missing from the scene for a long while, is signing one film after another. The latest we hear that Junior Bachchan has been roped in to star in acclaimed filmmaker Priyadarshan’s upcoming film, Bachchan Singh.

Interestingly, Bachchan Singh will be the second film which boasts of his surname in its title. In the year 2012, Junior Bachchan acted with his father Amitabh Bachchan in the Rohit Shetty directorial Bol Bachchan.

Abhishek Bachchan had recently opted out of JP Dutta’s multi-starrer film Paltan at the eleventh hour. Though reasons for the same are best known to the actor, speculations are rife that he bowed out of the film to star in Bachchan Singh which features him as a solo lead.

If reports are anything to go by, Junior Bachchan will also star in producer Ronnie Screwvala's maiden venture to be produced under his newly launched production house. Besides Bachchan Singh and the untitled film with Screwvala, Abhishek has also given his nod to star in Nishikant Kamat’s upcoming thriller film and Prabhu Deva’s Lefty. He is, reportedly, also part of Anurag Kashyap’s Gulab Jamun. The actor has also signed RAW, replacing Sushant Singh Rajput. In nutshell, Abhishek has his plate full with a lot of projects right now.

Of all the films that the actor currently has in his kitty, Bachchan Singh looks very promising because Abhishek is very good at comedy and we are sure that he will nail his character in the film which is being touted as a fantasy-comedy film. Reportedly, the actor plays a corrupt cop in the film which has a change of heart and turns saviour with some powers.

To be bankrolled by Rajat Rawail and Suniel Shetty, Bachchan Singh is expected to mount floors soon.
