Aankhen 2 to star Big B, Sushant Singh Rajput & Kartik Aaryan?

Buzz has it that megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Sushant Singh Rajput and Kartik Aaryan are coming together to headline much-delayed film Aankhen 2, which is a sequel to the 2002 successful heist thriller Aankhen directed by Vipul Shah.

Aankhen 2 was announced a couple of years ago. However, the project kept facing one hurdle after another due to a legal battle, leading to such a long delay in production. But if insiders are to be believed, the project is back on track and the makers have begun the casting process.

The original film was toplined by Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Arjun Rampal. While Big B is confirmed for the next instalment from day one, the makers have just initiated talks with Sushant Singh Rajput and Kartik Aaryan to essay parallel leads in the flick.

"Talks with Sushant Singh Rajput and Kartik Aaryan are in the final stages. The rest of the names will be in place soon as well,” a source reveals.

When the project was first announced in 2016 with Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Arjun Rampal, Arshad Warsi and Regina Cassandra, Gaurang Doshi, who produced the original film, was to bankroll it. But now the project will be made under the banner of RajTaru Studios.

An official announcement is awaited.
