Aamir Khan books Christmas 2020 to release his next Laal Singh Chaddha

Superstar Aamir Khan, who last headlined Yash Raj Films’ Thugs Of Hindostan (2018), has booked the Christmas weekend of 2020 to release his next film Laal Singh Chaddha. The actor announced the movie on his 54th birthday on 14th March 2019.

Laal Singh Chaddha is an official remake of Hollywood biggie Forrest Gump (1994). Written by Atul Kulkarni, the film will be helmed by Advait Chandan, who made his directorial debut with Secret Superstar (2017). It will be bankrolled by Aamir Khan Productions in associations with Viacom18 Motion Pictures.


Well-known film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter handle to confirm the release date of the movie. “Mark the date... Aamir Khan's new film Laal Singh Chaddha to release on Christmas 2020. Stars Aamir in the title role. Directed by Advait Chandan. Written by Atul Kulkarni,” read his tweet.

Laal Singh Chaddha will go on floors in October. Aamir Khan will be shedding almost 20 kilograms to get into the skin of his character. The rest of the star cast, along with the female lead, is yet to be finalized.
